Do you have any of our missing SBADS mementos tucked away in a dusty drawer? We’re missing materials from quite a few productions and we’d love to add them to our archive.
It’s not particularly surprising that we don’t have materials from all our early plays: photography was still an expensive hobby in 1925, local papers carried very few images, and I doubt that many posters would have survived being pasted up and left out in the rain around South Brent.
What is more surprising is that details from productions as recent as 2012 are mysteriously missing. There’s a particular shortage of details about shows put on by the SBADS youth group. We suspect that there are reminders of these shows squirrelled away around the village, and we’d be delighted if any of them could be found. Here’s a list of the “most wanted” gaps in our archive.
An asterisk* indicates that we don’t even have a cast list for the production – so any information at all about it would be gratefully appreciated!
