Presented by Amateur Dramatic Society
ENJOYABLE PROGRAMME
The South Brent Amateur Dramatic Society presented to an appreciative audience 31 act and contrasting play is –‘Festival day’, a comedy, ‘fiesta’, a straight play, and ‘the Thresher’, a dialect comedy.
The cast were a blend of old and new members, all of whom did well in their respective parts. It was evident they had received a careful preparation and praise is due to the producers Joan Deedes and George Preston. The scenic design for each play was quite good. Another pleasing feature were the solos rendered between the plays by Elizabeth Perraton, Christine Preston and Paul Irwine. Christine Preston and Paul Irwine also sang a duet. Miss Luggar LRAM was the accompanist. Altogether a most enjoyable evening's entertainment was provided and the manner in which it was received should give every encouragement to all concerned with the production.
