‘TWELFTH NIGHT REVELS’

Drew large audiences at South Brent

On Tuesday evening the Church Hall South Brent had capacity attendance for “12th night Revels" organised by the entertainments committee of the South Brent Amateur Dramatic Society. The majority of the organisation of this very successful event was in the hands of Mrs A Vickery, Hon. Sec. and Mr Trevor Jones, Chairman of the entertainments committee.

One of the outstanding events of the evening was the “Any Questions?” item. The chairman was Col. A Hanks and he was supported by Mrs Lefanu, Mrs Vickery and Mrs H Hanks and HM Butler. The entertainment was of a very high standard and it is hoped that the Society will arrange many more such evenings.

The programme included songs by Mrs Chubb, Mrs Beston and Mrs Wright; ballet dancing by children arranged by Mrs Winzer; a sketch by Mrs Butler and party; a square-dance exhibition arranged by Mrs Grove of Ivybridge, and a competition arranged by Mr Salter and Mrs Perkins. Music was rendered during a break for refreshments and following the competitions there was dancing until 1 pm.
