About This Production
The production included:
- The Proposal, by Anton Chekhov
- Maria Martin, or Murder in the Red Barn, by Constance Cox
The performance was part of the 50th anniversary celebrations for SBADS: we now know that these were three years late!
The poster and programme were specially printed using the traditional 'letterpress' method using moveable type, and the poster by Veaseys of Totnes is a very late example of the style of theatre bill that was in use from the 17th Century.
